What’s with the Ginkgo leaf in my logo?
I'm glad you asked! When I learned of the ginkgo biloba tree’s history and symbolism, it really touched a chord with me as a persevering life-giving beauty. Not only is the ginkgo’s fan-like leaf delicate and dainty, but the tree is also referred to as a “living fossil,” as it is one of the oldest surviving trees, with a history reaching back over 200 million years. It is a symbol of longevity, resilience, peace, and health. Ginkgo trees have survived the 1923 Kanto earthquake and the 1945 atomic attack on Hiroshima. The ginkgo biloba has many medicinal and therapeutic properties as well as cultural significance in Asian cultures including hope, fertility, and a connection to nature. All these characteristics resonated with my desire to share as much with my clients: resilience to overcome adversity; peace and harmony within the body, mind, and spirit; hope and fertility; and reawakening our connection with the beauty of nature around us. I pray you find such qualities within yourself.
